that last one is from an older journal. some of these were done a long, long time ago. think back to the start of 2005? gosh.
subliminal inspiration from: "lolita", fellow journalers, artartart, log cabins, winter days, "maple leaves" - jens lekman, "lazy line painter jane", friends, family, obsessions.
excuse my fingersss in some! i had to photograph them because it is so CHUNKYYYYY, and because my scanner is !!!LAME!!! and made everything look flat, which, CLEARLY, it is not.

i like these so much. there seem to be so many layers .. i'd love to sit in a big chair with a blanket round me and just leaf through these, touch the pages, discover the little things tucked onto the pages and under things ..

i love going through other people's work. recently someone showed me a (now famous) architects journal. this inspired me so much. so much detail, so many thoughts. it's like digging into someones minnnnnnd.

ah i know! i always write 'deers' because i think it looks right. i noticed i wrote 'deers' before, and thought 'i should go back and change that!'

if i had to imagine the perfect journal,
i think it'd look an awful lot like this.
i can't even explain how much i love this - how much i wish i could produce something this beautiful, how much i'd love to leaf through your journal and just admire the creativity and talent!
