Hi, I'm Marthe, a 22 year old law student from Norway. This is my first entry, and my the first pages of my very first journal. I got so inspired by this community, I just had to start my own. Here we go;
I broke my arm some weeks ago, and I started my journal with a countdown. GIPS means cast, and I'm putting a star there for every day with the cast on, so that I can visibly track the time.. :)
Very pretty! I like the "No monsters" page, andthe one with the lyrics to "Suddenly I See". Very nice use of magazine clippings and colors! And your handwriting is so pretty!
Thank you! I don't know why the "no monsters" pic won't turn around though. I've tried with photobucket a hundred times! And I'm glad you liked the "suddenly I see" one, it took me forever, lol! I really like doing repetitive things when watching tv!
Hmm. I'm not sure since photobucket wont' even let me on the site to use it. :/
XD I do the same thing. That, and my journals are filled with entire SCENES of dialogue, surrounded by little doodles and commentaries. Since I'm always watching NCIS, that's what falls victim to my doodling hand :P But it helps me pay attention! Hehehe...
It LOOKS like it must have taken a long time though. *gets bored easily*.
It kind of helps me relax, since I am usually way too restless to sit down for 4o minutes just watching! I'm watching Battlestar Galactica at the moment! ;)
Such lovely pages :D I love them all, but the ''all eyes are not on you'' really cracks me up XD. Gips is annoying isn't it? (we call it gips too in Holland) I really got insane when I had it, especially when I had an itch haha :)
very annoying! I did the scans a while ago, and now I only have 8 dayas left! Still think my arm is going to be useless a while after I take it off though! The itching is driving me crazy too. I know I shouldn't, but I can't resist using a pen or something like that to itch ;)
I love "This too shall pass". I even wrote it on my cast ;) It's such an inspiration in bad times, and can help you appreciate the god things during good times :)

I used this chinese stick where you normally eat with!
I thought it was a great way of getting rid of the itch :)

As one who keeps charts and calendars in her journal, I can relate to the star chart.
I like the way you play one kind of page against another. (Stripped down text next to full page image, for example.)

Yay, KT Tunstall and I am always saying "And this too shall pass", lol it's one of my mantras.
Great pages - great start to journaling!
